![]() He was preceded in death by his father, James Rucker. He was a student of the Bible, who regularly and intently read the Word and shared scriptures with anyone who had an ear. His pastimes included having a love of listening to different types of music, dancing, fishing and definitely being around people. In the community, he was a member of the Committee to Save the Children. Ulysus was raised in the Church of Christ and attended Capernaum Church of Christ. Additionally, he was a technician with Ed Kelly Appliances. ![]() With an entrepreneurial spirit, he was the owner of A-I Heating & Air Conditioning. He enlisted in the United States Navy and after being honorably discharged, became a truck driver for McLean Trucking Company. He later received an associate degree and furthered his education in engineering at NC State University. ![]() Another soldier gone home he earned his last reward on May 5, 2023.īorn in Mocksville, NC, he attended schools in Forsyth County and was a 1967 graduate of Carver High School in Winston-Salem. ![]() Ulysus “Bae” Henry Rucker was born on May 28, 1949, the son of James Rucker and Ruby Jarels Rucker. ![]()
